Fifty years! It went so fast! I retired in 2006 after 40 great years teaching first grade. I miss the children but not the alarm clock. I continue to work part time for the University of San Diego (teaching and coordinating classes) and volunteer in public school classrooms. I am also a board member for the Redlands Educational Partnership Foundation. Retirement is very busy--and fun!
I have two terrific grandsons who live close. My husband and I enjoy traveling in our RV. Last year we traveled over 15,000 miles. We even drove through New York City.
