Being one of the more quiet, shy students in high school, I didn't make friends easily and didn't participate actively in clubs or sports, but I was proud of my school and I liked my teachers. I didn't begin to blossom until after high school. Later I met Del Orr who was a year ahead of me at Downey High and very much into basketball, I knew him from afar and always admired him. He served a mission for the "Mormon" church in Germany and came back a couple of years later and we hit it off big time. Married in July 1965 and had 4 children. He passed away in 2000 and I have been a widow for 12 years.

I've had quite an adventurous life and can't believe it's alreay my 50th high school reunion. I don't know if I will remember very many of you at the reunion, but I'm not quite as shy now, so it will be fun getting reacquainted with my fellow classmates. See you soon!
